ICT Education & Digital Empowerment

At KBI Schools, technology is not treated as an optional extra. We believe students should develop the confidence, creativity and practical skills required to participate effectively in an increasingly digital world.

Our ICT programme has evolved from traditional Computer Studies into a broader Digital Technologies programme, incorporating Coding, Robotics, STEM projects and practical digital learning across the school.

Our Digital Technologies Programme

KBI's STEM, Coding & Robotics programme was launched school-wide during the 2023/2024 academic session and is delivered in-house as part of the school's wider academic programme.

Coding & Programming

Students are introduced to programming concepts through structured lessons and practical projects designed to develop logical thinking, creativity and problem-solving.

Robotics

Robotics education introduces students to the principles behind machines, automation and technology while encouraging hands-on experimentation and project work.

STEM Projects

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are brought together through practical projects that help students connect classroom concepts with real-world applications.

Digital Technologies

Computer Studies has been upgraded to Digital Technologies, making technology education a compulsory part of the learning experience for KBI students.

Computer Confidence

Students develop confidence working with computers and digital tools rather than simply consuming technology.

Examination Readiness

Practical computer use also helps students prepare for the increasing use of computer-based assessment, including the transition towards full CBT examinations.

Future Skills

Coding, computational thinking, digital literacy and problem-solving provide foundations for further education and future careers.

Creativity

Students are encouraged to use technology as a tool for creating, experimenting, designing and solving problems.

Building a Culture of Personal Computer Access

KBI encourages students to have access to personal computers for coding practice, digital learning and independent work. Regular access gives students more opportunities to practise beyond scheduled lessons and builds familiarity with the tools they will increasingly encounter in education and the workplace.
